Vaccinations
Protect yourself and your family from vaccine-preventable diseases
Vaccines help to build your body's adaptive immunity and this happens when you are vaccinated against a microrganism which will trigger and activate an immune response.
Your body will then produce antibodies to fight the infection, and with a stronger immune system, the chances of getting a future infection or falling ill seriously from a recurring infection are greatly reduced.
Through childhood, adolescence and into our adult life and senior years, we require different vaccinations to protect us from prevailing or life-threatening diseases at each stage of our lives. Vaccinations are also important in the prevention of the spread of infectious diseases. Therefore, it is crucial that we keep ourselves updated with our vaccinations, to protect ourselves, our families and also our community.
